Hello Everyone!
Tonight, I would like to offer thoughts for your consideration concerning our Presidential Election.
When you are debating who is the best choice for the leader of our country it is important to give more weight to abilities and policies than to personalities. Often times regarding professionals we wish to engage for any purpose, it is not the most charismatic, the most lovable, or the most amiable who is the best option. Always the best option is the person who will perform the duties required at the optimal level with the highest degree of desired results. When I worked on a surgical floor, we of course knew all the surgeons. Common knowledge was if one of us ever needed surgery we hoped we would be sufficiently cognizant to choose our surgeon. Our choice would never be the surgeon who would top the list of invitees to a dinner party or other social event, but it would be the surgeon who had the best skills and the best record for post-surgical recoveries. When abilities and results really matter, likeability becomes a moot point. To this end when contemplating our two real choices for President of our wonderful country, I find only one candidate has the qualifications that offer the greatest potential for desired results, President Donald Trump.
There are numerous examples to site as to why I come to this position but in this post, I will begin by listing one. This example I find extremely important given the current status of wars in Israel and Ukraine, our current involvement in these conflicts, and our potential future involvement. Kamala Harris stated during the debate between President Trump and herself that we have no troops in combat zones. This is horribly inaccurate. We have troops in Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Djibouti and Turkey, to name a few, all of which are considered combat zones. This disinformation feels like an appalling attempt to gain preferential consideration. VP Harris either is totally ignorant of our military or intentionally desired to mislead our citizens in an effort to seek approval. How can a person be placed in the highest position of authority over our military without knowing where our troops are? There is no way as a citizen and as a military Mom that I can in good conscious assist someone who is so uninformed or intentionally dishonorable to become our Commander in Chief.
Unfortunately, for Harris/Walz, this is only one example as to why I will not be voting for VP Harris. I will present more examples for your consideration.
